This coming SUNDAY (August 30) is our annual PARK DAY! We'll be meeting at FOREST PARK (walking distance from the church building) at 11am. We meet in the covered area that is just to the right of the playground, so we'll be easy to spot.

We'll have BBQ PULLED PORK sandwiches (with hotdogs & vegetarian options) and will provide everything for that along with drinks. However, if you can bring along a side-dish to share (salad, dessert, chips, etc) then we'll have plenty of food for everyone. 

Also, there are some tables/chairs in the covered area, but it's a good idea to bring along some camp chairs if you have them. And if you have a fun yard game you like to play then feel free to bring that along as well.

The park has a fun playground and even a splash-pad, but there won't be any official kids ministry stuff happening so parents should be prepared to supervise their own children.

Most of us will make the Park Day our Gathering event of the day, but If you want to attend a worship gathering as well, Zion Lutheran Church has a formal liturgical service at 10am at the church building. They will be done in time to join us at the park at 11am.

Our Seniors Group is hosting a special community event in September with a NASA Ambassador sharing about the NASA Artemis Moon Mission Project. We'll learn about how they develop and validate the rocket, spacecraft and deep-space life support missions, and human operations ahead of future lunar landing missions in the moon.

We have another young families potluck get-together in September and this time the Marshall family is hosting it at their house.

It's a great time for adult to connect and get to know each other while the kids play . . . and everyone will go home fed!
